Heavenly Father,
Thank you for who You are! Thank You for Your Word. You didn’t have to tell us all these things. But You chose to not leave us lost, as sheep with no shepherd. You came to us, You have dwelt with us. Such things are too great for me to comprehend. But Lord I am so thankful.
This I know- You came to me and pursued me. My god was my self. And I was drunk with the pleasures of sin. I recognized I was resisting the God of the universe, and shame and disbelief were my constant companions. My sin was ever before me. I needed a Savior. I couldn’t save myself, as hard as I tried. I tried to compromise, just give You half. It didn’t work- You were demanding it all.
But then I heard Your Word from a preacher who was preaching from James. He said to ask in faith for Your wisdom and I did. You transformed me. You washed me with Your Word. You filled me with Your Spirit and put Your Words on my tongue. You taught me Your ways and how to live in them every day. You sent Your people to me, to correct and love and lead me. One by one, you had me let go of the idols I was holding onto so tightly. You broke my chains and freed me.
And as the months and years passed, I saw the fruit… the love, the joy, the peace… that comes from a life lived in Jesus.
You continue to refine and sanctify. You have forgiven and restored me more times than can be counted. Great is Thy faithfulness!
Jesus, there is none like You. No one spoke like You spoke. No man has ever defeated death and came back from the grave, only You! You- the Messiah, the Son of God, our Passover Lamb, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
No man can come to the Father except by YOU.
Thank you so much. I love You. I believe, Lord forgive my unbelief. Please do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Your love is better than life.
Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done. Amen
